So we've told you how much we love attending the National Stationery show before. And this year didn't disappoint. It was so great to see the many vendors we love working with all year round and we are delighted to report that we've picked up several new and exciting lines that we think you'll really love. Let's start by telling you what's in store from our tried and true vendors.
We are looking forward to receiving brand new designs in Encore Studios' newest wedding line which includes stunning handmade papers and letterpress. C'est Papier never disappoints and its newest Bar Mitzvah album is sure to be a hit with its vibrant colors, bold designs and some wallet-friendly price points. The new Natural Impressions wedding album features a wide range of beautiful, earth-friendly designs, keeping tradition and elegance in mind without sacrificing the environment.
We are also really excited that Noteworthy collections and Stylepress by Bonnie have teamed up to create an album featuring Bonnie's fabulous flirty designs for bridal and baby showers, cocktail parties, birthdays, graduations and more. We are also excited to announce that we picked up Printed Write's wedding line to supplement our Kids and Baby line, which carries Cross-my-Heart designs.
Also updated for this year is Checkerboard's Traditions Album featuring high quality modern Bar and Bat Mitzvah invitations. Carlson Craft's Something Different Album has been completely revamped with a whole new array of unique invitations and Save the Dates. Simple But Elegant is also brand new for this year and we've already seen a nice response to the new designs from our clients. And last but not least, Lemon Tree Stationery has a gorgeous new wedding album which we cannot wait to show off.
It is so much fun getting to see our friends and colleagues once a year and sharing, a hug, new ideas and our clients' insights with them. The worst part about it was that when we walked out we looked at each other and said, "Now we have to wait a WHOLE year!!!"
More to come soon about the new invitation lines we picked up for for 2009-2010 seasons.

May is always our favorite time of year. Not only because its the start of wedding season and the flowers are in bloom, but mostly because its time for the National Stationery Show. What's so exciting about that? you wonder. Well, its a preview opportunity for us to see the latest trends for the upcoming year including the newest styles from our trusted designers and a sneak peak at designs from new up and coming stationery trend-setters. Its like the new fashion season for stationery! This year we hear there's lots to be excited about including new albums from Lemon Tree, Checkerboard, Pioneer and more. Its also a chance for us to see the vendors we have been communicating with all year long and tell them what our clients are looking for and what we think they should incorporate into their collections. Its how we do our part to keep trends current and clients desires in the forefront. We promise to update you on our best finds after the show!Written by Marina Borukhovich Monday, 09 February 2009 12:25
I had wanted to start writing a blog on this site for quite some time now, but was never sure what my first entry should be... After all, there is a lot of pressure to make it either interesting, funny, informative or all of the above. After another weekend of seeing excited brides, proud parents and new babies in the studio, I decided to write about what is close to my heart, friends and family.
It has been said that every person you meet may change your life forever. It has never rang truer than in my line of work. When Evelyn and I started this company over 10 years ago, we met quite a few engaged couples. At the time we helped them with engagement announcements and eventually wedding invitations. Within a couple of years, we did moving announcements for the couples' first homes. From there we moved on to baby announcements and first birthday invitations, moving announcements when a bigger home was necessary to accommodate a growing family and lots and lots of party invitations to commemorate important milestones in our couples' lives.
I can speak for both myself and Evelyn when I say that we love what we do. Our clients have become friends, and we enjoy and appreciate the moments they let us share by inviting us into their lives. It warms my heart when I receive in the mail a Bar/Bat Mitzvah or birthday invitation from the clients who I am now proud to call 'friends'. Over the years I've become a shoulder to cry on when all the planning gets to be too much, an ear to complain to when a mother in law gets out of hand (we'll leave that for another blog entry though), or just someone to share all the excitement of the upcoming event with.
This is more than a business, as each one of my clients has left a mark on my heart. I hope to be part of their lives for many more years, and one day to do the wedding invitations of the babies of my first engaged couple...
